I like to give conventions nicknames and this one probably deserves the name "stressfest" due to my poor planning for the weekend. I managed to make the best of it by the end but boy was it a whirlwind of emotions.
Thursday / Friday
I’ll keep this brief since I pretty much wrote a whole blog about how messed up the lead up to WCS was. In short, it was stressful, mistakes were made, malfunctions happened, and it will be awhile before I will even consider wearing the costume again because it just brings back so many bad memories. I survived the day but not gracefully. I also cringe at the thought of watching the skit even though people have told me that they enjoyed it (which I appreciate).
How stressful was it? I didn’t take a minute for myself to snap a photo of the costume. So there you have it. I’m sure some will surface since we did greenroom shots and team shots. I'm very happy for the winning team. Their costumes Zelda costumes were beautiful. I'm also I was glad to chat with some other teams. The princess jellyfish group were very nice ladies with a good sense of humour. Saturday
The masquerade was bonkers. There were 99 entries and I must commend the staff for being able to coordinate all of those people. The show went well and there was a lot of variety on stage. Deliberation also went smoothly, plus I got to pick Nikita’s brain about the difference between cosplay competitions here and in France. Did you know that they don't use the term masquerade instead there are called cosplay contest.
Behold a greenroom with 99+entries Sunday
We revived our No Flutter group to add new members and to shoot in Old Montreal. We did some trekking to have a variety of locations and I am very excited to see all these lovely ladies together in a polished photo. Thanks again to Pit Fire photography for shooting us. The rest of the day was low key with the awards ceremony and subsequent feedback sessions. Then I went casual to have a final dinner with friends before packing it in for the weekend.

I forgot that you were judging the masquerade this year. I have a quick question, but do you remember what the performance award for Entry 60 A Dance with Shadows was? Neither person was at the ceremony and they have not been able to find out what that award was :( And haven't received their ribbons or anything.
