Myself as Korra and Attyca as Lin Otakuthon has been a yearly tradition for myself for the last 6 years. Many of my cosplay friends are regulars as well, so it always makes for a fun weekend. This was my first time in the dealer's room/artist alley for the whole weekend, and my third time judging a masquerade. Highlights: Meeting Adella and Alodia, selling at my table, some Korra antics, masquerade jugdging, and hanging out with friends. Friday My table in the dealer's room I spent most of the day at my table and it was busy! Crowds of people were getting their first taste of the dealer's room. Lightpriestess was my table buddy, and she sold sculpted sweets jewellery. Throughout the weekend I was handing out free Crunchyroll bracelets. Some 300 lucky people got them. I also noticed that Avatar isn't that big in Quebec, which comes as a drastic change compared to the Korra flood that was Otakon. Saturday All the judges after deliberation I was mostly behind my table for the day until I went to judge craftsmanship at the masquerade. I still managed to snap a few pictures before then, as seen in the gallery below. I was lucky to judge the master and artisan division, so there was lovely details everywhere. The show was spectacular and the Best in Show winners - a Tsubasa Chronicles pair - had the most emotional skit I have ever seen on stage. Afterwards, deliberation went smoothly and when we were freed from our duties I got a quick shot of the judges (Photo on the left with Alodia, Emily, Adella hidden in the back, Moonroses, and Myself) To wrap up the day, I had a midnight dinner with some close friends where we pigged out on Chinese food. Sunday Korra <3 fire ferret fans (sat) I debuted a new Sakura dress on Sunday after checking out of the hotel and getting my luggage in order. After setting up my table I had to run to the Award Ceremony, where we gave ribbons and gift certificates to the masquerade winners. This was followed by a quick lunch, then a photoshoot with AlucardLeashed in the windy streets of Montreal. Expect many photos with a flowing skirt and a billowing veil. Once the con was over I went to a staff dinner at St.Hubert where I got to chat with Adella and Alodia about their projects, inspiration, and cosplay around the world. Overall, I had a wonderful time and sales were great. I'll see you next year.
