Me & Alphonse statue in DR Siren-con is the name I dubbed it for the constant ringing in your ear from emergency services always being on call. Sweat-con, could work just as well for the steamy hot weather we had all weekend. But who could really complain when you get dat ice cold watur and it's only one dollur. Overall Otakon was nice for meeting new and old faces. For my second year visiting I enjoyed it, not as much as the last. Here is the breakdown of my Otakon : Roaches, rats, heat, ice cold water, I'm on a boat!, fangirl moments and photoshoot. Read more to learn about my weekend adventure in Baltimore. Day 0 - The drive and the hotel Silent hill fog :( Had a looooooong drive down from Montreal with Thornrose. 10 hours of driving included: no AC, 4 hours of mountains complete with the occasional soupy fog straight out of silent hill, and a few naps. Stayed at the Radisson. It is nice a hotel or so I thought before Acksonl came to our room at 3am after they found a two inch cockroach in their room! Eeep! What a way to start the weekend. Luckily we found none in our room. I saw a rat run across the street later that weekend. I'm not found of the Baltimore wildlife. O_O Day 1 - Feeling hot, hot, melt Pixiekitty's Tira cosplay A sure way to slow down cosplayers is to stick them in extreme heat. I think everyone was exhausted after walking in the 37 degrees (about 100F) weather. I wore Merle and took it easy for the day. Scanned the dealer's room and artist alley and bought 3 wigs from Arda for upcoming cosplays :D I got to briefly meet Pixiekitty and saw her in her SC4 Tira cosplay in the artist alley. It's very nice in person :) Check it out >>> Hung out with Dan.I.Elle, VincentLove and Mnemosyneforgot and caught up since we last met at Anime Boston. They are all such nice people. I also briefly met Electric-Lady, out of costume. I <3 her Stocking costume. Spent the night hanging out with Nintendofangirl and friends. Day 2 - Fangirl and photoshoots Lionboogy & Me Another easy going day with some pleasant surprises. I got to meet Lionboogy! He makes some epic cosplay props and costumes. Most notable are his Transformers Bumblebee cos and his mad prop skills! He took a photo of my Mercedes cosplay and I noticed the familiar name on his badge. We exchanged horror stories about building Shiva bikes and talked about good cons to attend on the west coat. He then introduced me to EurobeatKing. After seeing that name so often on Cosplay.com it was nice to finally meet him :) He took a few photos as well. Later on I also took photos with Anna Fischer, who is a great photographer all around. I can't wait to see how all the photos turned out. :D Day 3 - I'm on a boat! Jack and I in the Artist Alley I made a Tia Dalma specifically for Otakon so that I could take photos on the period ship in the harbour, the USS Constellation. Alucard_leashed was my photographer and Vickybunnyangel was helping. I greatly appreciate their help for making my little cosplay dream come true. I was a sweaty mess since it was close to noon, luckily that's in character right ;) I also managed to find a Jack Sparrow! A good one at that. He played the part so well I laughed and couldn't keep in character. I was surprised at how well received the costume was and that people recognized it. Special tanks to Lightpriestess for doing my makeup. I looked dreadful, which was perfect! For dinner and beyond I hung out with some epic Zelda cosplayers friends of Thornrose: Inkylink, Akuriko, Pikminlink, and Aaron (how makes perfect replicas of Link's sword and shield) along with my roommates. Photos & Vids It was nice seeing everyone again and that includes the ice cold water guy. I remember him from last year and he is priceless. Ackson's at it again with his cosplay vids, watch it below. I'll be uploading my cosplay photos as they come in. How was your Otakon? Cheers

I must say I truly did not expect to cross paths with Tia Dalma or should I say Calypso? You did a fantastic job and thank you for finding me.
