Sakura (White flowers) - Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles
Worn at:
Otakuthon 2012 - Montreal
Katsucon 2013 - Washington DC
Description:
I took quite a few liberties with this costume, because I wanted something I could wear on a normal day.
I made a convertible knee-length dress out of light satin.
The flowers have cotton pom pom pollen that is hand sewn to white actionwear (spandex) petals. I chose spandex because it doesn't wrinkle and it flops down like in the illustration. The flowers are held together by a white satin cord. There is also a pom pom belt.
The veil is two layers of chiffon with a crochet trim. The flower pattern is hot glue with a few layers of paint.
