King of Swords - Noa Ikeda
Wig: Lacefront wig from AliExpress
Top: I modified a lacy bra from Ardene's by draping some stretch synthetic fabric overtop. I also stuffed gold leaf under the lace
Corset & Bracelets: The corset was a pain. The patterned was sketched on mannequin then transferred to paper. Worbla base was made to match the pattern and strips were cut and laid out to match. Once combined it was molded over the dress form. Gold wax was used to give it colour and brown acrylic paint was used to darkwash. The bracelets are also layered pieces Worbla and covered in gold leaf.
Makeup: Gold leaf was applied to the neck and body with lash glue. Technically the bracelets are also supposed to be worn like this but I opted to save time for every time I would wear this costume.
Skirt: I made a mermaid skirt using McCalls M7320 pattern. Instead of adding one gusset to the back I added two. One to each side seam to give extra volume, in addition to adding wide horsehair braid to the hem. The skirt is lined with the same stretch polyester fabric used on the top. It zips up the back and closes with a hook and eye. Some lace was hand stitched to the hip. The embellishments are mirror finish beads that you can hand stich on but I decided to glue them down with Gemtac.
