Why this costume?
I wanted to do some more experimenting with mesh tops and fancy appliques so I made a pair or Eevelutions, including Sylveon.
Description:
Headpiece: I bought a halo crown from Aliexpress and decorated it with beads and wire. [See WIP photos/videos above or on Tiktok].
Ears: The ears are made with dense foam that was cut and dremeled into shape. They were painted with black gesso and gold paint. A wire was inserted into the bottom then wrapped and glued to a black headband.
Accessories: Bracelets and necklace are from Forever21 from years ago when I was considering doing a Riju cosplay from Zelda
Top and Bottoms: I used a stretch mesh and hand stitched an applique from Aliexpress. I added a lot of embellishments to the applique to make it more vibrant and multidimensional. The pants are made with organza, They are gathered at the top using a wide satin ribbon and at the ankles using black elastic. Overtop of the ankle elastic is a synthetic lace trim held on by snaps.
