Why this costume?
The gym leaders in Galar are great with fun designs and I just adore Raihan. He's so sweet.
Description:
Hoodie: I modified this free hoodie pattern. I using iron-on vinyl for the orange stripes. The front panel is gold ultrapreme (Cosplay Fabrics) backed with cotton twill with some decorative lightning stitch in black for the dragon belly pattern. The orange accents and lining for the hoodie is orange cotton jersey. The teeth and two layers or white ultrapreme overtop of Flexifirm (stiff felt).
Shorts: The shorts are made with cotton twill and an elastic waistband. The details are all iron on vinyl, with the logos being printed onto vinyl transfer paper.
Shoes: I modified some high tops from Ardene's. I painted the soles orange with Angelus leather paint. The exaggerated high top was made by covering flexifirm with cotton twill and stitching it to some elastic to hold it in place.
Headband: This was surprising difficult to get right with all the seams. I drafted a pattern from scratch and made it from jersey over top of cotton batting for added thickness. It stays on thanks to elastic in a channel of jersey in the back.
Bracelet: 3d printed by a neighbour using this free model and I painted it with some acrylic paint.
