Pharaoh Nidalee - League of Legends

Montreal ComicCon 2017 - Montreal Otakuthon 2017 - Montreal Why this costume? I like Nidalee and this is a skin that rarely gets cosplayed. I fell in love with the design when her splash art was redone. Description: Wig: (See video in tab) A Leia and a jumbo braid in natural black/ deep brown were provided by Arda Wigs. A Leia is normally a very long wig with 2 braids with a part and skin top from crown to nape. I incorporated the jumbo braid hair into the braids to give it extra volume. Each braid was capped off with a small black elastic and a bead. Excess hair was trimmed and the ends were boiled to flatten the poofy ends. Armor: All armor was a mix of foam (yoga for the thicker parts and craftfoam for the thinner parts) with a black worbla outer layer and laser paper details. Laser paper was put on top of the foam and visible through cut-out details in the worbla. Each piece was airbrushed gold and a little black paint was used to surround the laser paper to make it pop. Headpiece: The curvy details are model magic covered in worbla. The gems were also cast and custom colored using resin. An elastic is glued to every piece and it ties together at the back. Top: the base is made of worbla and then coated in fabric. I covered the base in tin foil in order to shape the overlaying details, also in worbla, to apply after covering it in fabric. It laces up in the back with D-rings and elastic string. Spear: The spearis made with a wooden dowel cut into 3 sections and connected through 2 way screws for easy transport. The spearhead details were made with building foam which was cut and sanded into shape, then covered in worbla. Sewing: The white fabric is twill with a satin stitched applique using turquoise satin with interfacing as a stabilizer. |
