@meltingmirror This was a quick wig styling project where I had to change the part of the wig and I wanted to add a little volume. This Aliexpress wig was great! Not a single hair came lose while styling and the lace was a perfect match for my skintone. #wigstyling #cosplaywigstyling #cosplaywig #dionysus #dionysuscosplay ♬ Gimme More Techno - Techno Music
@meltingmirror A quick overview of how I made the crown for Dionysus. I didn't record much of my progress on this costume because I was on a tight timeline. #worbla #flowercrown #hadesgame #hadescosplay #dionysuscosplay ♬ What You Won't Do for Love - Bobby Caldwell

Yeticon 2024 - Colling, ON

Why this costume?
He's so fun to interact with in the game. I also had most of the materials for this costume in my fabric stash.

Description:

Wig: I ordered the wig from AliExpress (affiliate link).
The wig is teased at the top for a little extra volume and changes to a side part with a steamer and Got2Be hairspray. See styling process in the video tab

Bracelets: I reused some old bangles from Forever21.

Staff: The base is Pex-al-pex and a foam ball covered in worbla scales for the artichoke(?)

Headpiece: The base is made of worbla pushed into silicone molds for a braided look. Combs were glued to the worbla to attach it to the wig. Leaves were glued on and fake grapes were attached with wire. See WIP video..

Cape: I used some leftover leopard fux fur from my Sharla costume and lined it with cream colour faux suede. More faux fur was added as trim and it's filled with small amount of batting. The leaves are more leftovers from my stash and they were hand stitched on along with the grapes. I batch ordered fake grapes from Amazon. The big metal brooch is made of Thibra that was shaped over a Christmas ball ornament to get the smooth curve and rolled Thirbra for the lip. It was painted with acrylic silver paint and black darkwash.

Toga: The toga is dyed synthetic crepe fabric. It's basically a big rectangle with purple ribbon for straps. Since the fabric frays easily, it is finished with rolled hems and French seams.

Leg straps: These were made with stretch pleather pieces that can slip on and off.

Belt: I used scrap leather to make the belt and it attached with Chicago screws. Some gold curtain trip is glue on top with contact cement, plus a few rhinestones were added with Gemtak.
