Why this costume?
Who wouldn't want to be the baddest character with the best fashion sense in the whole show?
Description:
Wig: I bought it on Aliexpress. I curled the hell out of this wig with a mix of BBQ skewers and straws using hot steam. I sewed down the hair mid wig cap to create the poof and added side burns curls to hide my hairline.
Earrings and gems: I coloured clear bicone gems with Sharpie and sealed with with a clear topcoat. They are placed on jewelry pins and attached to earring hooks or sewed to the wig.
Horns: I made a base out of aluminum foil, which I then covered in plastic wrap and tape to create a pattern. The pattern was used to make the horn with eva foam which were assembled using contact cement. Sheer fabric with magnets inserted are in the base and they are also attached with spirit gum. Magnets were also sewn into a wig grip to secure the horns.
Wings: I made a wire frame with 12 gauge wire. The base has a U-Shape to slip into the back of the costume. I made a inner corset or belt with cotton twill to support the weight since the bodysuit is made of stretchy fabric. I use the frame to trace out the design to create templates for the foam pieces and the fabric. Everything is assembled using hot glue where the wire and fabric are sandwiched between the foam layers. The foam pieces are are textured using black gesso and a sponge. The pink fabric is also given some dimension with stippling red paint.
