ConBravo 2013

I had a great time at Conbravo as a cosplay guest and masquerade judge.
Here's a little taste of my adventures, Vine Style.

Friday

Kurumasha, Kudrel and I had a long drive on Friday to Hamilton and I was pretty exhausted when we arrived even though I slept most of the way there.

After getting dressed in Merle, VickyBunnyAngel, Kudrel, and I headed out to the con and surveyed the convention centre.
I ran into quite a few friends and cosplayers from the region. It was nice catching up.

Saturday

Saturday was much busier. I helped out at the Cosplay 201 panel, in which most of the cosplay guests attended including those mentioned above plus Mai Sheri and Sarcasm-hime. It was good 2 hours longs but we could have kept on for longer.
Soon afterwards I judged the masquerade. It is always a tough gig to have. There were some definite stand-outs, both in construction and on the perfomance, and I look forward to seeing what else they will come up with in the future.

After deliberation I went for my first shoot with Paul Hillier. We got rain out once we settled on a location and decided to shoot in a sheltered area on the street. I look forward to seeing the results, especially since I scrapped most of my Aion costume afterwards.

The rest of the night was spent partying with friends and getting our dance on at the con dance - thank you DJ Janos for the beats!

Sunday

Sunday was lazy day. I handed out awards with the other masquerade judges: Cats Luna and Nancy (Featherweight was running a panel and couldn't make it) and hung out in the artist alley / dealer's room.

I had another shoot with Paul, this time in Talim, another costume I was throwing out.
We had a friendly encounter with the Hamilton police during our shoot, who were genuinely interested in the events and we chatted for a good 20mins about conventions.

Soon afterwards, Kudrel, Kurumasha and I left the event and began our long drive home.
Thanks for having me ConBravo and Hamilton!
