Worn at:
Ad-Astra 2010 - Toronto Anime North 2010 - Toronto Otakon 2010 - Baltimore FanExpo 2010 - Toronto Description: Making this costume was quite the experience. Everything was made from scratch except the shoes (I turned them into boots) and the brown shorts. The vest and sleeves are made of light beige silk. Interfacing was added to give it stiffness. The collar has flexifirm for some extra hold. There is some subtle hand-painted detail on the collar and matching pearl buttons along the front enclosure. The jacket is made of tafetta, in a coral colour with a rosy sheen. It is also adorned with matching buttons. The collar also has some interfacing to make it stand up. The tube top is golden cotton with metallic gold buttons, is held up with thick elastic. Organza in gold, violet, chocolate brown, and red were used for the sweeping fluff all over the costume Boots: The gold garter-belt straps are made of vinyl and has golden studs punched in. Peach curtain sheers and a thick elastic band hold the boots up. Tan faux suede from the curtain section were used to make the thigh-high boots. Gold print screening ink was used for the detailing on the boots. Sword: The sword is made of wood; cut, rasped, sanded and filed into shape. Sculpted detailing were made with clay. The handle-wrapping was made of bias tape. The guard was made of a plastic drink cover. Awards: Best in Class Master - Ad-Astra 2010 Featured in COSMODE 39 in the Cure Cosnap section.
